If you are planning on harvesting timber, you must first obtain a permit to do so. This law is in effect for all of Grant County. Contact the Grant County Clerk at 608-723-2675.
Zoning
Town of Potosi is zoned. This means that you need a permit if you plan on building or adding to an existing structure, moving in a mobile home, or setting up a hunting cabin. This includes all new ag and commercial construction. You can obtain a permit by contacting the Grant County Zoning Office in Lancaster.
