Dog Licenses

All dogs in Town of Potosi must be licensed. Forms will be provided by the Treasure when you receive your taxes. If you are licensing a dog, proof of rabies vaccination must be provided in order to receive your dog license. It would be good if you would keep a copy for your records. If you no longer have a dog previously licensed, please inform the treasure (treasureer@townofpotosiwi.gov) so it can be removed.

Elections

The Town Hall serves as the designated polling place for all national and local elections. For information about voting and registering to vote, visit http://www.myvote.wi.gov or contact the Town Clerk. More detailed information regarding future elections will be posted on the Calendar Events  or in the Informational section

Fire Numbers

A fire number identified your residence in Town of Potosi. It is very important that these signs be posted as fire and EMT services rely on them. The Town will provide the original sign and post it on the entrance of the property, but if it needs to be replaced it will be your responsibility to do so at your cost. Make sure the sign is always legible.

Public Road Right of Way

By state law, the right of way is 33 feet from the center of the road. All fences, shrubs, trees, or any other structures, machinery, or miscellaneous items are required to be outside of this boundary.  If you are replacing an existing fence, the new fence must follow the public road right of way rules. Any questions on right-of-way, first review the Town of Potosi Roads ordinance.
